More For Children - A Research Project

In January 2025, the Southside Initiative has teamed up with local ANU researchers Sharon Bessell and Cadhla O' Sullivan. The More for Children research project explores what makes life good and what makes life tough for children. The project is a first for Canberra and the involves rights-base, child centered research with children aged between six and twelve years old, to better understand what matters to children and what it is like when families are struggling. 

We will share the findings as they are presented to us.
